World Tourism Day 2012
World tourism day has been going since 1980, and was put together by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The idea behind it is raising awareness of the profound benefits tourism gives to the global community, showing its effects on culture, economy, and politics. It is held on the 27th of September each year for that was the date when the statutes of UNWTO were accepted in 1970. When it was held in Istanbul in 1986, it was decided that each year a different host country would be elected.
Why Culinary Travel Around The World Is Becoming Popular
These days, we are bringing the food of the world to our borders. Culinary travel around the world is a way to explore far away regions by tasting the way they cook certain dishes, or specialties specific to the region. Food has a way of bringing people thousands of miles apart closer than they ever imagined, just by making it in their own kitchen.
Information Regarding The Region of Lampun in Thailand
Lampun is close to Chiang Mai (CM) and Lampang in Northern Thailand. This area is near the Ping river that is an ancient trading route for the flowers into CM and further south into the country. Lampun is a picturesque area with vast flower laden expansive valleys that are practically the foothills towards the Himalayas since they share the same tectonic plate.
Taking A Cultural Tour Of Glasgow
When visiting Glasgow, what better place to start than the city centre, and the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) in Royal Exchange Square. The GoMA is the second most visited contemporary art gallery in the UK and houses an appealing combination of old and new architecture.
