Non-gambling visitors to Las Vegas need not be limited to their hotel room. There’s plenty to do outside the casino: strolling the Strip, concerts & shows, shopping, and day trips to nearby Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead.
Known as a mecca for gambling, sex, and alcohol, Las Vegas has been marketed as the Entertainment Capital of the World. It attracts some 40 million visitors a year, and is one of the main convention cities in the United States. We were there a couple years ago for one of the other reasons people go to Vegas: a wedding.
