If you travel, you need money. To buy tickets or to spend on the road.
Here we collect a few resources to help you manage you travel money.
Keep your money safe
Carrying cash is risky. Better use travelers cheques which are insured against loss or theft. This is the safest way to carry your money with you. You can buy traveler cheques at banks, post offices and travel agencies and easily converted them to cash. Keep a copy of the serial numbers separate from the cheques while you travel and a second copy with someone you can contact in case of loss emergency at home. You will need the serial numbers to claim your loss.
Credit Cards are accepted in many places worldwide. They are not as safe as travelers cheques but safer than cash. You can also use them to withdraw cash from an ATM. Transaction and exchange fees vary by credit card company. Check them before you go. Often it is better to withdraw larger amounts at a time – but that leaves you with lots of cash to take care of.
